IFP’s DFF™ 2.0 (Download Free Framework) and WEB 2.0
The complex and evolving technology infrastructure of Web 2.0 includes server-software, content-syndication, messaging-protocols, standards-based browsers, and various client-applications. Our Market Trader client application is a real-time, web based application, based on our DFF™ that offers the end user a real-time application (“Win32”) experience using a regular browser, without the need to download and/or install any plug-in, Java applet and ActiveX component.
The Download Free Framework (DFF™) was originally created for a specific application, nevertheless since it was planned using open application architecture it can now be used to create additional applications, much different from the already created IFP Market Trader.
In addition to the unique user interface capacity, our technology allows real-time data from numerous vendors to be offered to end users with extremely low costs while maintaining high performance and up-time standards.
The distributed application API approach IFP uses allows for open architecture enabling the combination of external entities in the system and to use parts of the framework with other solutions. For example the client environment could be used in conjunction with an already existing business logic layers and server side to efficiently transform a download requiring application to a Web 2.0 download-free one.
Security, redundancy, scalability are also taken into account by the Download Free Framework DFF™ infrastructure in an open architecture to allow secure and always available solutions to be created.
On top of that performance was a key factor to allow streamlined user experience.
The current second generation Download Free Framework DFF™ (version 2.0) allows each user to be offered a roaming limitless desktop accessible using the standard Microsoft Internet Explorer 6/7 browser and in this environment to work with different application windows and streaming data was specifically designed for IFP’s Market Trader enabling quick and easy customizations to the Market Trader client (broker) needs. As a Framework it is a set of tools that in the future we plan on bundling to a boxed product designed to enable quick and easy development of web applications.
